David Jones

David Jones, of Welsh origin, studied mechanical engineering and economics at the University of Birmingham in central England. He then went to Paris, where he exhibited his first set of Chinese inks. This exhibition, entitled "The body as architecture", was supported by the art historian Caroline Boyle-Turner, former director of an art school in Pont-Aven. Following this exhibition, the young artist continued his work as an engineer.

It was not until several years later that he began painting and devoted himself fully to it.

His art, marked by color, presents bright landscapes with sinuous forms, inviting the eye of the spectator to travel through his work. Through his paintings, David Jones hopes to touch us and take us to other places.
